When you study online, you can continue to work and earn an income at the same time as you learn. Some online Masters of Marketing programs incorporate a face-to-face, residential component as part of their curriculum.

When applying to an online program, you need to compile an array of professional and educational documents. However, two things all applicants must have are a bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant work experience. Keep reading to find out how to get a master’s degree in marketing online.

How To Apply For An Online Master’s Degree

Below are a few things you need to keep in mind while compiling documents to apply for an online course.

Online Application

Your online application will consist of academic transcripts, U.S. bachelor’s equivalency, letters of recommendation, and a resume.

  • Transcripts: If you attended a degree-seeking undergraduate institution, please submit a copy of your transcripts for each one. Likewise, if you earned a graduate degree, please submit that transcript as well.
  • U.S. Equivalency: Students who study at colleges or universities outside the U.S. are required to have a baccalaureate degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
  • Two recommendation letters: It is recommended that at least one of the letters is written by your current or previous supervisor and that both letters are professional references.
  • Resume: Include information about your education and professional experience.

Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) Or Graduate Record Examination (GRE)

Applicants who choose to submit GMAT or GRE (including General Test at home) scores should make sure the official reports are sent directly to their chosen universities. Do note that these tests are now optional for 2022 applicants.

Other Supporting Documents

You will be asked to submit a few other requirements such as:

  • A video essay or a statement of purpose
  • Video component answering some application questions
